Interested in the internet from an early age, I now hold over 12 years experience within a corporate digital marketing enviroment. This experience covers a wealth of highly competitive sectors including Travel, Education, Finance, Retail, Gaming and Recruitment for some of the UK & Australia's best known brands including many globally recognisable companies.
This experience has allowed me to undertake projects delivering on a diverse variety of client needs. These include: acquisition, branding, product development & expansion, market opportunity analysis & competitive intelligence.

Following on previous experience with MyTravel, revenue from non-branded terms increased by 311% as search marketing campaigns were taken to increase Thomas Cook’s natural online presence and cement the company as the leading online travel agent.
Personal experience with Thomas Cook also included being asked down to speak at their internal E-commerce training seminar organised on their behalf by E-Consultancy.
Involved in the entire design process for hsbc.co.uk. Dealing with various client management teams as well as creative, design and usability agencies to ensure a seamless site migration and thus an easy transition for both personal & business banking customers.
Authoring of several key consultancy pieces including keyword targeting strategies and competitive analysis.
Presentation of results to senior management teams within various brands: HSBC, HSBC International, HSBC off-shore, Marble, Partnership Card.
Pre-Launch business consultancy providing insight as to how to take product offering to market. Delivered strategy included a multi-faceted approach as to how best to attract business partners & consumers alike
Working on a portfolio of sites including Pokerroom.com, Casinoroom.com and Europoker.com (now part of the Bwin Group). I spent 2 years working on SEO programs for these gaming sites that resulted in number one keyword positioning on Google.com for all relevant keywords including "poker" and "online poker" and a rapid increase in daily user sign ups using solely natural search as a marketing strategy. Ongame was sold to Bwin for EU$500m in 2005.
Working with the AutoCar and WhatCar brands, I was responsible for devising online marketing campaigns to be utilised across the automotive properties. This strategy included detailed site content and hierarchical plans designed specifically to increase advertising revenue from key partners. The success of this campaign led to a close working relationship whereby iphone applications were also scoped on behalf of the client.

With a $1.8m portfolio revenue target, my role as Account Director is to work autonomously and take responsibility for all facets of client management and ultimately ensure end to end delivery of digital marketing solutions.
As a member of the Reprise Leadership team, I also take an active role in wider management duties including new business pitches, product development & placement, all Melbourne based resource & recruitment.
As a division of Mediabrands, my role within Reprise also requires me to work closely with numerous internal stakeholders in order deliver full integration solutions across shared clients with sister agencies: UM & Initiative (media), Society (social), Mnet (mobile), Cadreon (Trading Desk), Ensemble (creative) and Anomaly (research).
Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, my role was to own the digital acquisition channels of paid search (PPC), eDMs and display media, plus ownership of broader sports based campaigns with exposure to Press & TVC Channels.
Brought on to head up the agency’s online marketing offering, I was responsible for growing the department from the ground up. During my two year tenure, I achieved a 300% increase in client spend. This revenue result was primarily achieved through the creation and implementation of all departmental process, staff training programs, up skilling business development staff and expansion of the agency’s service offering to include Social Media Management, Online Reputation Management and Pay Per Click.
Leading a team of 4, I was responsible for delivery of internet marketing campaigns for a portfolio of Blue-chip clients across the agencies entire product suite: SEM, SEO, Content Strategy & Conversion Rate Optimisation.
Direct reports comprised of Account Manager, Internet Marketing Consultant, Account Executive and Search Marketing Technician.
During this time I undertook several temporary roles whilst in pursuit of further employment within the online industry. This search ultimately led to me relocating to Scotland’s Central belt to further my digital career.
Argo Internet Marketing was my first role in online and one in which saw me working in SEO back when Lycos & Excite were classed as major search engines, and the term “SEO” itself was far from commonplace.
At a time when very few specialist agencies existed I was able to take on a diverse role and fully get to grips with the technical web from early on in my career. Further to website optimisation, technical duties included user testing & development of websites, PERL Programming, monitoring of website analytics, maintenance of the Windows NT network and management of Linux server systems.
I rely on the technical foundation gained in this role to this day.
On the phones, I was first port of call providing helpdesk facilities for customers of mobile operator: One2One. This role allowed me to explore my passion for technology while developing customer relations skills, frequently being called upon to deal with account complaints & billing enquiries.
